Tacita Dean

I have worked with artist Tacita Dean on many of her films, including:

"HIS PICTURE IN LITTLE"
"ANTIGONE"
"PROVIDENCE"
"IDEAS FOR SCULPTURE IN A SETTING"
"EVENT FOR A STAGE"
"J.G."
"FILM"
"10 to the 21"
"MICHAEL HAMBURGER"
"MERCE/STILLNESS"
"EDWIN PARKER"
"MANHATTAN MOUSE MUSEUM"
"CRANEWAY EVENT"
"KODAK"
"AMADEUS"
"PRESENTATION SISTERS"
"THE UNCLES"
"BOOTS"
"BANEWL"

Tacita acquires, edits and displays her work exclusively on celluloid; the films do not exist in either analogue video or digital.

The images shown here are either taken straight from the print of the negative from my camera or are photographs of my shots projected.

We have worked with 35mm anamorphic (2.40:1), 16mm anamorphic (2.66:1) and standard 16mm (1.33:1) and exclusively using Kodak Motion Picture Film.

From October 2011 until March 2012, "FILM" was the installation in the Tate Modern Gallery Turbine Hall.

I have also collaborated with Cinematographers John Adderley, Sara Deane and Tom Wright on some of these films.
